Astronomy

How I do love astronomy!  On the first day of my astronomy class, the professor kept saying to the class, “Be happy, you are like the stars!  I wondered why he kept repeating this statement over and over.  Reluctantly, I asked, “what do you mean by this….and how are we like the stars?”  He said that we humans are closed linked to the stars.  Like us, they are born, grow into toddlers, then children, teenagers, young adults, adults, and then grow old.  They even have a place where after they die they are buried, and even have a cemetery.  AND, if another star hits them while in their burial place, the star is resurrected!  I kept thinking about what he said over and over in my brain.

I love the universe and also the galaxies.  While we live in the Milky Way Galaxy, we cannot perceive how many galaxies there are outside of ours.   We should all humbly admit that we are puny in contrast to the universe and should want to know and serve the creator of such.  It is for this reason that I called my blog, Gail’s Galaxy!
